BASICS OF COMPUTERS

 WHAT IS A COMPUTER ?

      Computer is an electrical and Electronics data processing device.An electronic device that can store, find and arrange information, calculate amounts and control other machines.A computer is a device that accepts data as input, processes that data using programs, and outputs the processed data as information. Many computers can store and retrieve information using hard drives.

                        

 HARDWARE

       Hardware refers to the physical elements of a computer. This is also sometime called the machinery or the equipment of the computer. Examples of hardware in a computer are the keyboard, the monitor, 

SOFTWARE

         Software, commonly known as programs or apps, consists of all the instructions that tell the hardware how to perform a task. These instructions come from a software developer in the form that will be accepted by the platform (operating system + CPU) that they are based on.

INPUT DEVICES

        An input device is a piece of hardware used to provide data to a computer used for interaction and control.  It allows input of raw data to the computer for processing.

OUTPUT DEVICES

        An output device is a piece of computer hardware that receives data from a computer and then translates that data into another form. That form may be audio, visual, textual, or hard copy such as a printed document.
